What is the Sciton Full Field laser?

The Sciton Full Field laser is a fully ablative laser resurfacing device which removes damaged layers of skin to promote new, healthy skin growth and renewed collagen and elastin formation. This is an intensive treatment which does require some visible downtime for your skin, but offers impressive improvements to the skin’s tone, texture and youthful glow.

How does the Sciton Full Field laser work?

Intense wavelengths of laser light vaporizes the full surface of the skin. It targets damaged skin by creating tiny, evenly-spaced injuries, deep within the dermis. The untreated areas helps to speed up healing than if the whole of the dermis had been affected by the laser.

What are the benefits of fully ablative laser treatments?

After a short period of recovery, following this treatment, you can expect to see an improvement in the tone and texture of your skin. Pigmentation is reduced and lines, wrinkles and scars are minimised.

Recovery can take from 3 to 14 days, depending on the health of your skin. You may experience redness, sloughing or peeling of the skin and feeling warm immediately after your treatment. Aftercare includes keeping the skin moisturised with a good quality cosmeceutical (we can advise which would be best for your skin), avoiding direct sun exposure and wearing a high-factor SPF, and avoiding saunas and steam for at least 7 days, following your treatment.
